Adaptive Cognitive Systems is an innovative provider of cognitive modeling research and development services, headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. We apply cognitive solutions to diverse problems in industrial, academic, and military domains. As an active research company in the field of cognitive modeling, we are poised to assist you in developing simulations of people interacting with complex systems, such as aircraft cockpits, and in dynamic environments, such as real-time video games.
News
Adaptive Cognitive Systems staff members will be attending the upcoming conference on Behavioral Representation in Modeling and Simulation in Charleston, SC (BRIMS 2010), from March 22-25. At the conference, we will be presenting the paper "Extracting the Ontological Structure of OpenCyc for Reuse and Portability of Cognitive Models".
Applications
Adaptive Cognitive Systems focuses on research in the following
areas:
- Cognitive Architecture Development
- Human interaction behavioral capture
- Adversarial Modeling
- Memory and skill retention modeling and its implications for
training
These research areas all share a common thread -- computational cognition. The first thread, cognitive architecture development, is an area where we currently conduct government-sponsored 6.1 research, and forms our core research that is used for the other more applied threads.
Publications
We actively participate in the cognitive modeling research community, and share the outcome of our research through publications. Our entire publication history is available using the links above. For a brief sampling, though, here are a few recent publications:
