Basic Research Services

Adaptive Cognitive Systems has historically maintained a research portfolio with a majority of our income coming from basic research.  These research services are primarily focused on the development of cognitive architectures, and the development of the tools and methodologies for pursuing cognitive modeling. 

It's rare when all of the expertise needed for a basic research project can be accumulated in a single organization, however, and in recognition of this, AdCogSys often pursues basic research with academic partners.  We have experience pulling together teams of academic researchers and acting as the "prime" contractor, as well as experience working as a subcontractor to a university, and though we do prefer these team environments, we also perform basic research ourselves.
